Had a fabulous dinner at Gladstone. The food was delicious and the ambience is really cool Starters: - Trio of dips - baked goats cheese - whipped feta Everything was spot on, but the baked goats cheese was one the best things I have ever tasted. I hope they keep it on their menu forever as it was wow Mains - chicken shish taouk - lamb flatbread - pomme pave - tendersteem broccoli Everything was very nice. The portions are not big as it is more of a small plates concept, but Everything was very tasty Dessert - pistachio basque cheesecake - middle Eton mess They were both gorgeous, but the cheesecake was definitely the star of the show, so if you are too full and just have space for one, that is the one to order We really enjoyed the overall experience and can't wait to go back to try more dishes. They also had a promotion at the moment of 30% off food on Thursday evenings which was really good value for money. I definitely recommend this place
Attended for my birthday meal. I was treated beautifully from the moment I stepped in. Attentive staff, gorgeous food, lovely decor, great music and vibe. I go regularly for coffee/breakfast but my first for an evening meal and I can’t wait to go again. Jenny and Bella were lovely hosts/waitresses. Thank you
Absolutely love this place! I visit Gladstone Barbers and Bistro regularly, and every single time I’m greeted by the nicest, most welcoming people you could hope to meet. The service is consistently friendly and personal. The food is outstanding – hands down the best in Stalybridge. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or their famous Sunday roast (easily the best around!), everything is cooked to perfection. I’m more than happy to spend my money here several times a week. It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything so right – great people, top-quality food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Can’t recommend Gladstone enough!
We went for a birthday lunch. Picked some sharing food and was not disappointed. Every mouthful was a taste sensation, perfect flavours and seasoning. I cannot wait to go back and try more off the menu. Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere too.
Absolutely incredible food. The small plates are packed with flavour – a brilliant mix of British and Middle Eastern influences, with a real connection to Palestine. The dips (especially the hummus) are a must to start. The whole bream was soft and fell apart beautifully, the short rib was rich and tender, and even the glazed carrots were unreal. Great wines, lovely atmosphere, and such a warm, passionate team. Perfect for date nights, catch-ups or special occasions. Can’t wait to go back!
One of my favourite places to go in Manchester, their brunch is so good, pistachio matcha is 10/10, I’ve been for dinner a few times and it’s always amazing , I finally got round to trying their Roast on my birthday and it was insane, the cauliflower cheese is a must! The girls are so lovely, in particular Lucia, Grace M and Grace L were so sweet in helping celebrate my birthday, couldn’t recommend more!!
I’ve been coming here for years now and it just seems to get better every time. Date night, lunch with friends, hangover breakfast or just a solo coffee. They do it all and to an exceptional standard! You can tell the people who run it put a lot of thought and passion into everything they serve. Great food, great service. Probably the best restaurant in Tameside. (Side note: even the paper towels in the bathroom are top quality! Nothing is missed )
We ate: Prawn starters 10/10 and the peppers and featherblade croquettes. Sunday roast Beef / Lamb and Chicken all of which were beautifully cooked. Side note our Yorkshire pudding was cold and needed gravy to soften. Side of mac and cheese and cauliflower cheese both delicious. Dessert: Eaton mess and sticky toffee pudding, which was absolutely made to perfection. Pros: Food was really tasty. Food service was good Cons: Seating arrangements. We were a party of 4 sat on a table for 2 so we didn't have much room. We asked twice for a bigger table to be told they were booked and when the booking came through 3 times 2 people were sat at tables for 4 -5 so this took away from our experience because we were cramped. So if you are a bigger and plan to order side dishes, request a bigger table beforehand as the venue is smaller than it appears on instagram. .
